Trip tips
- Bring binoculars, camera, long sleeves, hat, sunglasses, and high-SPF sun cream
- Avoid bright blue and black clothing in parks (attracts tsetse flies)
- Pack a warm sweater — nights can drop to around 5 °C at altitude
- Use mosquito repellent; carry wet wipes for dry-season drives
- Best migration viewing: June–October in northern Serengeti; parks are visitable year-round
- Tanzania visa required; passport valid 6+ months beyond entry
- Yellow fever vaccination if arriving from endemic countries
